My Volunteer Journey

Contribute as a marketing team member in IEEE IAS Sri Lanka Chapter congress 2022. It was a two day program, first day is a congress day and second day is field visit day. Met industry experts and able to get knowledge from software companies.

Volunteered with STEM Up Educational Foundation to teach programming concepts to children using Scratch. Made coding accessible and fun for young learners during the global Hour of Code initiative.

Led educational sessions teaching school children microcontroller programming concepts using Microbit and Scratch. Introduced young minds to embedded systems and IoT fundamentals.

Managed the technical infrastructure for a 2-day women-focused hackathon, handling live streaming to Facebook and YouTube using Zoom and OBS Studio. Ensured seamless virtual event experience.

Led the design team for the exhibition category, creating promotional materials including flyers and banners. Also participated as an exhibitor showcasing innovative web development projects.

Led the program team for this educational initiative, conducting ICT sessions for school students. Focused on bridging the digital divide and enhancing computer literacy in underserved communities.

Served as Vice President of Marketing for the JOC event, organizing photography and videography workshops. Promoted creative skills development and visual storytelling among students.

Participated in a community relief initiative during the fuel crisis, distributing refreshments to people waiting in long fuel queues. A collaborative effort between AIESEC Sri Lanka and Coca-Cola.

Developed the official website for the IEEE Uva Wellassa University student branch chapter, collaborating with four webmasters to create a comprehensive platform for the student community.

Created distinctive logos and brand identities for various events and clubs using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Provided visual design solutions that effectively communicated each organization's mission.

Gathered with friends in 2018 to collect donations for the Cancer Hospital Maharagama. Our group organized fundraising activities and made a meaningful contribution to support cancer patients and their families.

In 2019, our friend group organized a donation drive for a rural school near Kahawatta. We provided essential school supplies including stationery, bags, shoes, and ties to support underprivileged students' education.
